I like Munto's dark skin. In most animes the fairskinned people are the elite or aristocrats (Last Exile etc.) but in Munto the skin shades are all over the place. It's neat.

In the second OVA, when they were talking about Howt, the Shainan architecture had some influences from Northern Europe!
It's interesting how they took different architectures from around the world and put them in the countries of Heaven!
